TIM MCDONALD NAMED CHIEF JUDGE FOR 2016 CENTRAL COAST WINE COMPETITION

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

JANUARY 30, 2016, PASO ROBLES, CALIFORNIA – The Central Coast Wine Competition announced today that Tim McDonald CSW will lead the judging panel for 2016. McDonald established the public relation and reputation management firm Wine Spoken Here in 2006. Currently he represents wineries in six countries and serves as the Director of Judging for the San Francisco International Wine Competition. “We are thrilled to have Tim join the CCWC team,” noted Jacky Eshelby, CCWC Coordinator.  “His 30 years of industry experienced combined with judging countless wine and spirits competitions makes Tim the perfect fit to help strengthen the marketing opportunities we offer to our winery exhibitors.”

The 14-year-old competition has continued to grow showcasing some of the finest wines produced on California’s Central Coast.  The uniqueness of the competition is not limited by the fact that it features only wines produced from the Central Coast AVA, the CCWC winning entries are showcased at six fairs along the Central Coast of California, reaching close to one million fairgoers.  “Seldom do you find a competition that allows a judge to concentrate on a single vinicultural area and focus on the wines that the talented winemakers are creating from the fruit that is harvested”, stated McDonald.  “This opportunity offers me the chance to gather a group of judges that blends the best facets of reaching the consumer; wine journalists, buyers, winemakers and sommeliers.”

The 2016 competition will run June 14 -16, 2016. Entry information will be available after the first of February.  For further information, refer to our wine blog at centralcoastwinecompetition.wordpress.com.
